Hague NY rests on the beautiful shores of Lake George, just south of busy Ticonderoga. Hague was first known as Rochester, and changed on April 6, 1808. During the French and Indian War, Sabbath Day Point was an encampment and stating area for the French Army and two thousand Ottawa Indians. Today's Hague is a quaint downtown on the shores of Lake George; an enjoyable Adirondack stop for all visitors that are fond of the majestic "Queen of Lakes" Lake George. Hague has hamlets of Graphite, Indian Kettles, Sabbath Day Point, and Silver Bay.
