Fort Covington was named after Gen. Leonard Covington and is just located outside of the Malone area in Franklin County, and borders our Canadian friends. It's popular neighbor in Hogansburg, the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino bring through many visitors to Fort Covington, Westville and the area. Fort Covington hosts the hamlets of Cooks Corner, and Fort Covington Center; while Hogansburg is a hamlet of the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation in the town of Bombay.
